Great Lives is BBC Four discussion Radio Programme hosted by Matthew Parris, it is also available to download as a podcast. The half an hour show invites a renowned guest and gets them to choose someone they perceive as being significant to them, then with a help of an expert they detail the person they choose whole life. Throughout the show there are moments where the guests lives are brought into the equation and it acts as a way to view a person in the public eye in a completely different manner.

The reason that I choose this Great Lives to research is because this the show is the one that provided the most inspiration to my idea, with its short running time, clear subject and expert level tone are all elements I want to directly emulate with my own podcast because I think they will fit the subject matter perfectly.
